Time is running out for missing hikers search…

Good Morning Campers!

Happy Monday to ya! Hopefully you had a good, fun, productive,
restful, and interesting weekend. Now it’s time to shake out
the cobwebs and dive head-first into the week.

Robin is on assignment today. She is taping “With All Due
Respect” up in New York. She’ll be hanging out with
baseball Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley, NASCAR star Kyle
Petty, and “The Round Mound of Rebound” Charles Barkley.
The show airs December 20th at 10 pm (ET/PT).

Richard Lui will be at the anchor desk this morning. Here’s
what we are working on.

The search continues in Oregon for two missing hikers on Mt.
Hood.Airplanes and helicopters are coming in to help the
rescue effort, but officials say time is running out.

Meteorologist Bob Van Dillen tells me that there could be
another 1-2 feet of snow hitting the area in the next day or
two. We’ll have the latest on the story.

Italy’s prime minister was sent to the hospital after
he was attacked. It seems somebody hit him in the face with
some sort of metal statue. Police think that the man who used
the statue has a history of mental illness. Find out how Silvio
Berlusconi is doing this morning.

The latest on Tiger Woods: One of his major sponsors has
dropped him. They say that following the news of the past
two weeks, Woods is no longer the right representative for
them. Which sponsor gave him the boot? Also, did the Saints and
the Colts continue their undefeated seasons in the NFL?

They’re cute, they’re cuddly, they bring in a ton of
money to Australian tourism, and they may be going extinct. A
new report talks about the rapid decline in the koala
population in Australia. The report says: more than half of the
koalas have been wiped out since 2003. Find out why they are
dying at such a rapid pace.

So those are just a few things we are working on. It’s a busy
day here at Morning Express world headquarters. We hope to see
you bright and early at 6 am ET

Later,
Keith, Morning Express writer-producer
